Capitol Peak South Ridge

Capitol Peak South Ridge

The south ridge of Capitol Peak as seen from the ledge system at the top of the east/approach ridge. The hoodoo at right is the hoodoo that is seen during the approach. The ridge was less than a foot wide with sheer drops for about 200-300 feet on either side. i wasn't man enough (foolish enough?) to attempt the traverse. This ridge is brilliantly colored, with stretches of deep maroon and intense yellow. January 4, 2007. Copyright sam beer.
