Stopped here on the way home to LA from the San Luis Obispo area during April. Great wide open scenery - blue sky, lots of wildflowers in bloom, birds and insects galore. Soda Lake was full and calm, making for great reflections of the temblor Mtns and clouds off the lakes surface. Definately worth spending a few hours to explore.
