Route Climbed: Thin Air Date Climbed: May 22, 2004
Led by Ian Turnbull in the rain. Due to the weather we had the Ledge to ourselves. Afterwards, we were too cold and wet to attempt any more climbing. Fantastic climb!!
Route Climbed: Thresher & North End Pillars Date Climbed: Dec 16, 2003
"Summit" in this case means top out climb...since it is not a "mountain".
Anyway, Thresher is a 2 pitch WI3 climb just left of the N. End Slab. Just to the right are the N. End Pillars. Good short steep ice climbs that can easily be toproped.
I've been up to North Conway a few times and climbed quite a few routes. Favorites include Recompense (5.9), Bombardment (5.8), Still in Saigon (5.8+), and Thin Air (5.6). Felix Danila and I also aided The Prow in 2003 as our first multi-pitch aid climb. See my personal website for a complete list of routes that I've climbed.
