better in thin conditions

without a big snow build up there can be a number of nice short ice sections - beginner leaders might find them 'interesting'

My 1st ever Scottish Gulley...

...back in 1973 (!)- have just been 2nd to sign the climbers log. Good to see another UK climb on SP.

Cheers Mark - I'm glad to see I'm not the only one signing the logs. I'm actually moving from Wales to Grantown on Spey next week - so expect many more Scottish additions to come!

Nice move! Cairngorms and Torridon on your doorstep! You won't see much daylight in December though - I'd take a good torch! Having just come back from a glorious week in arctic Finland it occurs to me that you could well get to see the Aurora Borealis occasionally that far north. Good luck with your move.

Thanks very much! On the plus side, I should get a whole lot more daylight in July! And yes, I saw some great shots of Aurora Borealis taken in Boat of Garten last week, so I look forward to that too!
