Great scramble
Started from the road north of the peak and spiraled around the west side to the southwest ridge. Great fun! Found a Mike Garrat register from 2009 with only about a dozen entries. Partly couldy, but a beautiful spring day.

From northwest
Approached from northwest. Climbed the wall on the west side of the southwest ridge with some loose rock and cacti. Descended the gully on the west side of the northeast ridge. Nice climb/scramble, good weather, gorgeous views.

long day
Date a guess. We (NMMC) started that morning by climbing a volcanic neck south f Cabezon, then went up over Cerro Cochino, over Black Meas. I recall thinking about all the Spanish words for "pig", and how there were at least as many English words for pig.
Route Climbed: Southwest Ridge Date Climbed: December 26, 2005
A clear, gorgeous day with temperatures between 50-65 degrees Fahrenheit. Except for cactus needles in the hand and butt on the descent, the climb was extremely pleasant.
