Cerro Fitz Roy (3375m - Patagonia/Argentina)

Cerro Fitz Roy (3375m - Patagonia/Argentina)

View of the Fitz Roy seen on the trail leading to Loma del Pliegue Tumbado (1540m). Fitz Roy is also know as "El Chalten", the smoking mountain (name given by the native indians), as clouds often get stuck on the summit. It was first ascended in 1952 by two great French climbers : Guido Magnone and Lionel Terray.

What a beautiful.....

What a beautiful picture. The black and white truely enhances the beauty for sure. Would you mind if I added this picture to my "black and white mountains" album? Thanks for sharing such a beautiful picture with us -TyeDyeTwins-

Request for Permission

Hello,

I'd like to ask for your permission to use this photo for a blog post of mine.

I'm preparing a commentary on Bruce Chatwin's 'In Patagonia' and your photo just suits wonderfully.

Cheers.
