Checking out the snow bridge high on Ausangate

The south ridge and the west face of the summit pyramid of Ausangate were blocked by a crevasse. Towards the north, the crevasse petered out, and just before the sheer north face it looked as if we might be able to get across safely, but it was hard to tell. Joel and I held the rope taught, while Iván had a close look. next 4 June 2011.
