Chelan Butte Summit

Chelan Butte Summit

Looking through a fence at the summit of Chelan Butte. The USGS Benchmark (bottom-right of photo) for the mountain is located within a private fenced area containing communications towers. The true highest point of the mountain is located directly underneath a communications tower, and is the reddish-colored rock seen behind the dead bush on the upper-left of this photo. Photo taken on May 8, 2010.

Frustrating

As a benchmark collector (pictures of them), I hated not being able to get to this one.

Re: Frustrating

Did you just not see it, or did you forget to take a photo of it? Or do you mean the fact that you could not reach it?
