Easy trail, no views.  Sucess!

Even though this trail is very easy and wide. I think next time I'll take a different one. It has no views until you reach the AT.

Greylock  Sucess!

Went up the Gould Trail and descended by way of the Cheshire Harbor Trail. 7-8 mile hike. cloudy overcase weather resulted in no view from the summit just a cold mist... still a nice hike!

Nice route  Sucess!

Had some trouble finding Fisk St, as it's not directly off the main road you're turning off of, but my GPS helped a little. The route's not too bad, I had a nice hike to the top, and breathtaking views to the east.

Nice  Sucess!

The hike was beautiful. I'd rather hike to it, than drive to it when given the choice.

The "getting there" section needs some work.

Currently Shortest Way to Summit  Sucess!

Route description does not mention that trailhead is at 1560 ft, so this is a 1940ft vertical hike, about 3.3 miles (2.6 to the Rockwell Road, then about .7 along the AT to the summit. This is currently the shortest route to the summit, as the road traversing the mountain is closed until 2009 for maintenance.

Also, the upper half of this route can be made into a loop, by descending the Gould Trail from the road intersection at the top, then taking the Peck's Brook Loop cut-off trail across the ravine to regain the Cheshire Harbor Trail down.
