Ridge Run
Started at Timber Lake TH, hiked to the valley separating Jackstraw and Ida and bushwhacked to treeline, then traversed Ida, Chief Cheley, PT 12820 and Cractop to Julian. Lots of scrambling and interlocking grass ledges from Cractop to Julian, fun stuff! Also climbed Jackstraw and Gray Jay on the way down, long day! Lots of wildlife: elk, deer, moose and bighorn all present today!
The amazing fog made it more difficult and a bit longer than I would have liked. I love that when with friends on Trail Ridge Road, I can now say I nabbed it! ;)
Beautiful day, amongst beautiful scenery. Started at Milner Pass, summitted Ida and then dropped down into the saddle between Ida and Chief Cheley and then summited Cheley. Planned on heading to Cracktop, Julian and Terra Tomah but the weather was looking a bit iffy and one of the group was a bit overwhelmed by the downclimb off of Ida, so given that continuing onward would have been more difficult than what we just did, we returned the way we came. Snowed a bit on the way back to Milner Pass. Great views. I'm heading back someday!

Death March
A continental divide hike from Milner Pass to Bear Lake, later referred to as "The Death March", took us over Mount Ida, Chief Cheley Peak, and Flattop Mountain.

This mountain is spectacular. The views are amazing, climbing pristine, and the level of satisfaction couldn't be better. What a great trip!

Climbed Chief Cheley on Continental Divide traverse from Milner Pass to Bear Lake. Beautiful day for this long hike (perfect fall weather, with no storms till very late in day). Saw Fabio and pksander in saddle between Ida and Chief Cheley, but didn't know who until read these summit logs.

From IdaOver from Ida and onward to Cracktop and the rest. Fun ridge, not super difficult, and it's easy to get down to Highest Lake from the summit.
