Chopicalqui, Huascarán Sur and Norte from high on Pisco

Pisco is certainly not the highest peak in the Cordillera Blanca, but it offers great views on all the surrounding big ones. To the south are some of the biggest of all: from left to right, Chopicalqui (6345m), Huascarán Sur (6746m) and Huascarán Norte (6655m). The normal route for Chopicalqui is over the west ridge. As you can see, the last part is rather steep! The normal routes for Huascarán Sur and Norte first gain the saddle between them from the other side. 6 July 2011.
