Church in Świątkowa Mała

The year 1762 is believed to be the construction date of the former Greek-Catolic church of St. Michael the Archangel in Świątkowa Mała. However, some claim that more probably this date marks the extension of a chapel that already existed and had been built in the 17th centuary (today’s sanctuary) by adding the nave and babinets. The church was renovated and probably altered in the late 19-th and early 20th centuries (the present-day tower is said to date from the time). The church in Świątkowa Mała is a typical sacred building found in the west of the Lemko lands. The Low Beskid - June 21,2017.
