The blossoms of Purshia mexicana Photo taken along the Scenic Loop Drive in Red Rocks, Nevada April 2007 Native Americans used thin, straight branches of a cliffrose to make arrows, and a yellow brown or tan dye was made from its leaves mixed with pounded juniper branches.
