Cliffs of Bonifacio

Cliffs of Bonifacio

Splendid cliffs over the Mediterranean Sea. Unfortunately they are partly made of chalk, therefore unclimbable. Located at the southern tip of Corsica near the town of Bonifacio. The rest of the island provides great hiking and climbing areas. Corse - France >> view of a sunset on these cliffs : here

Re: You can climb chalk

I should have put a "lol" in my comment. No thanks - I'd prefer to live a bit longer!

Nice shot by the way.

Re: You can climb chalk

No you can't if it is the really soft white chalk you use for writing on blackboards. We have some 400 ft. sea cliffs like that in Denmark, and it crumbles when you touch it. Regularly a whole cliff face will tumble down into the water - jhp 1004 has some photos of that.
