'60s & '70s Summit mag
To whom it may concern,
My late husband, Tom
Simkin, was a Seattle Mountaineer in 1956
& 57 while in Seattle. It was climbing with geologists and others (1st ascent of Elephant Head)
that inspired him to start his education over and become a geologist.
He had a very successful career as a volcanologist at the Smithsonian.
Besides curating rocks he also saved a lot of Summit magazines
(~80) from 1960 and the 70s. I would love to pass these on rather than
put them into the recycling bin. If you are not interested in these for
your archives, do you know anyone else who might be interested?
