Re: Nice!

You and Noah need to get in there and repeat it. Noah and I are trying to climb every face on Capitol. Still need 'High Times', NW Butt and the West Face.
Nice avatar pic btw!

Really liked the intro

Nice work. I hope this doesn't mean I've lost my climbing partner!

Nah! We'll just have to split Kimmy! ;o)
She's a bad-ass fo' sure. Solid. Three of us need to hit Blitzen Ridge together.

So Jealous

We did a 3 day bachelor hike of Capitol and Daly 2 years ago, and I've been meaning to get back ever since. Another set of friends camped at Capitol Lake, summited, dropped into Pierre Lakes Basin, and went out Maroon-Snowmass trail. But I must say, I've never seen a route like the one you guys took! Maybe next year... :)

Foiled Too

Just foiled by the weather on Capitol Peak 50 feet below the summit... I appreciated this. Great pics and TR.

Re: Foiled Too

Thanks, Eleuth! That's a hard decision to turn around that close to the summit. But it's those kinds of decisions that make for a better, wiser climber. Experience isn't won through blue-bird summit days, it's through trial & effort.
Stay with it dude! Still plenty of summer left. Capitol is a great peak. You'll get there.

We're going back next month & climbing the traverse over to Snowmass. Gonna try it in one 24-hr push.
Thanks for reading! :o)
