Cockscomb Ridge.

I snapped this photo coming off the west ridge of the South Summit of Timpanogos, getting a glimpse of the Cockscomb Ridge, the southern most high area on the mountain. After examining most all of the potential routes for this ridge, I've come to the conclusion that the approach and descent will be hell. However the ridge is there and waiting and must be climbed... someday. The ridge contains several 10,000 foot peaks or highpoints on Mt. Timpanogos. Photo taken September 13, 2012.
