Collier glacial trough.
As the collier glacier recedes up the mountain it has left this well preserved aluvial trough. It was as recent as the 1920's that the glacier desended all the way to the base of the cinder cone that I snapped this shot. The Three sisters wilderness,sept 9th 2006.
