Conservation Project: Timber-r!

Curtis and Joe fell a tree at Cimarroncito as part of our three hours of conservation service during our June 2005 Philmont Scout Ranch, NM trek. The purpose of felling the trees was to restore a meadow which was being lost due to encroachment. Loss of these meadows is detrimental to many forms of flora and fauna that depend on open spaces to thrive.
