Route Climbed: Yanapaccha and Chopicalqui southwest ridge
The Cordillera Blanca is an absolutley stunning mountain range! I spent close to three weeks in the mountains. Hiked up to Laguna Churup and Laguna 69 for acclimatization. Took a six day mountaineering course with Skyline Adventures. We made an attempt at Yanapaccha, but were turned around do to bad weather. We summited Chopicalqui on June 25, 2009 via the southwest ridge.

Route Climbed: Vallunaraju (5,686 m / 18,963 ft).
Climbed with my friend Cristian "Chiki" (ECU). We travelled from Quito, Ecuador by bus to Huaraz, Peru and spent only a week in Cordillera Blanca. A beautiful range and area.
Route Climbed: Trekking Santa Cruz-Quebrada Ishinca Date Climbed: 19-31 july 2004
A group of 4 friends we realize the adventure of it was travelling to 9000 km from our house to know this great mountain chain.
For the acclimatization to the height we choose the popular Santa Cruz's trekking that we prolong with one day more to ascend to more than 5000 meters in a minor mountain (Cerro Sentilo, 5100m). This trekking has a step-crossing of more of 4700m and falls asleep to 4300m for what is ideal for the aim.
After the trekking we go to the Quebrada Ishinca to climb Urus and Ishinca. Finally we complete the travel with a touristic visit to Titikaka and Machu Picchu (we've climb the Huayna Picchu of course).
Route Climbed: Churup Oeste (5.493m), Southeast Face Date Climbed: Summer ´99
We climbed this face in 1.999 following in the first section of the face a new start to the left of the " ´72 Slovenian Route" to reach the summit cornices with "Ni un puto Joint". We graded it at TD\TD+. Sections of 80º Ice and 5.8 Rock.
