Even if the original "throne of God" in Dolomiti is the mount Pelmo.... ;)

	Hasn't voted	Yes, the view in good weather is very impressive all around from the top. As for 'Götterthtron' I got that from a guidebook (said about Sassongher). Pelmo is much higher and more impressive in a way, but there is no village where you can see it that close.

	Hasn't voted	Thank you. It is the closeness to the town that makes it so impressive. If you stood in Zermatt and made a similar wide-angle photo of the much taller Matterhorn, it would appear as just a remote pinnacle.
