All credit for finding the place should go to Ryan, he heard about it on the wastateice site and then persisted in wandering around Cougar Mountain in the rain for about an hour looking for it long after i had resigned myself to going home disappointed.
Also, i don't know how good it would be for rock climbing. right now it would be impossible, it's got a thick coating of muddy, mossy slime, but even when it dries the rock is so scarred from crampons and ice tools it would be pretty unaesthetic.
