Thanks Ray! Luckily most of it was wind-chill induced, so as long as we kept our skin covered we were fine :-)

At the time, all those years ago, I didn't know about the effect of return of cooled peripheral circulation. While my hands, feet and limbs didnt' feel cold, when I returned to the warm Hostel, it all got going again and shocked my system. I was most surprised to start manic shivering in a warm place. Something to be aware of.
