Cresta di Costabella begins at Passo delle Selle m 2529, which is reachable from Passo San Pellegrino in h. 1.30 following the path number 604.

Route DescriptionFrom Passo delle Selle, you go up easily onto Piccolo Lastèi m 2687, than, with little ups and downs, you reach the top of Gran Lastèi m 2713 ( you can also go through a war tunnel that comes out on east ridge of this mountain ). From here begin the steel equipments that lead without great difficulties as far as nearby Cima di Campagnaccia m 2737, whose top you reach going up a short slope.
Now you go down along Banc di Campagnaccia, a depression of the ridge between Cima di Campagnaccia and Cima di Costabella, and than go up to the top of this last mountain, that is the most important of all the ridge.
Now you go on up to a stretch in descent equipped with steel ropes but rather dangerous that leads to a basin in sight of Sasso di Costabella m 2723. You can, before reach Forcella del Ciadìn, go up the wooden stairs which leads to the Austrian observatory under the top of this mountain.
At Forcella del Ciadìn ends Cresta di Costabella, and you can go back to Passo San Pellegrino following a good path that goes down the south side of this Forcella.
