South "couloir"?

Had a very gorgeous climb up the South Face which is actually a very aesthetic couloir route in the spring (Apr 30, 2007). Is there any reason I shouldn't post a "South Spring Couloir" route? I have lots of good route pics to share. What would you call it? Or is there a better way to share the beta? Nice page!

Re: South

Tim, Your "South Couloir" route would be welcomed on the Crestone Needle page. The south face route description on the Needle page is pretty bad, so any improvement/addition regarding that route would be good. However, I would name it "South Face Couloir" or something like that to immediately let people know that it was the same route, only in winter/spring conditions. Thanks for you contribution.

Number

Great Page, Alan! Very Helpful and informative! But a minor detail, the number you have listed for the Manitou Foundation is wrong, the number is (719) 256-4267.

Close the road!

Great climbs are worth the approach. Close that road, lower the impact. I love those mountains and that basin, but it gets hammered! Trash, excessive fire pits, tundra damage all break my heart when I'm there. Make it difficult to ruin by making it difficult to reach. Climbing anywhere else you get used to a long approach which adds to the adventure. Also, does the closer include ATV's? I hope so, they've become the scourge of the mountains.

just a little extra beta

the current upper (4WD) parking for the S. Colony Lakes is about 9,930' (according to my altimeter, which I'd calibrated at the former 4WD parking (11,060')). Also, we saw 33 cars in the 4WD parking lot/TH, & over 40(!!) including all the nooks & crannies extending to the forest boundary. Wow.
