Crestone Peak at sunrise
Crestone Peak at sunrise as seen from our camp high in the Cottonwood Creek drainage. The standard route, known as the south couloir or the red gully, is the obvious line of snow in the center. Sangre de Cristo Wilderness, Colorado. January 2011.

Great lighting on the peak! Interestingly, the trees seem out of place in such a high, rocky place.
