How this crevasse seems to be a bottomless pit...one would fall into nowhere...

Thank you very much for your comments and vote. Only in late May or early June do the snow-clad passes open, some to close again in September. Constantly on the move, pitted with deadly unseen crevasses thousands of feet deep, the glaciers add the finishing touch to the most dramatic, if desolate, landscape in the world.
