Crimson Chrysalis, 5.8

[ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Crimson Chrysalis, 5.8
Like Radek says, a crux move and then a little run out. My partner thought it was the crux move of the route, I led it and thought it was not so bad. Might be a hold some are missing, he is an inch or two shorter, so that might be it. 6th Pitch, Crimson Chrysalis, 5.8, Cloud Tower, Juniper Canyon, Red Rocks, April, 2007

""You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know.""   --Rene Daumal
