This photo is worthy of a spot here on SP. I have had two e-mails in the past year asking about the difficulty of this creek crossing. Well, here is a good shot of it. Clear Creek looks at about average run-off as well.

It's even worse at the Rockdale crossing. The Creek splits into two sections and is very large. If your intent is to start hiking right off the road on the Rockdale side then it's quite an undertaking to cross the creek.



A vehicle would keep your feet dry but the 4wd road just to the other side of the creek is quite difficult and intimidating but passible for most 4wd vehicles.
