Sandstone?

Truly curious, i have enlarged the picture and it seems the exactly alike kind of rock we in Italy have only in Northern Apennines, same flat stones, same lichens, same shapes...

	Hasn't voted	I'm pretty sure this is a type of shale. There's a lot of this type of rock in these mountains. It's definitely not sandstone.
