Brownlee trail- in snow Date Climbed: Jan 17, 2010
Boisedoc and I had a long and tiring day of it on snowshoes. Started below the campground because the Suby was draggin in the snow. Then took a shortcut directly up the west face. Steep. Got a few views on top before the predicted storm erased all visibility. Trip report
On the way to the 7 Devils area, we got the bright idea of doing this one via the road from the east. Not recommended but we made it to within a mile of the highpoint. The signs we saw were good but the road is a rough son of a gun, suitable for high clearance 4wd vehicles. To think that Ken Jones got his Honda Accord up this road boggles the mind.
"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."
