Island Time  Sucess!

We had a great time hiking the entire prominence of this summit. Cypress Head is a nice campground with restroom, picnic tables, mooring bouys, etc.. The summit area is off trail and has zero views.

Cypress Hill  Sucess!

The cool thing about island highpoints is that you can start at elevation 0.

Cypress  Sucess!

This was a fun day on the water and on the island(s) tagging a few peaks. It also felt like the first day of spring weather wise. The summit of Cypress isn't very interesting but most of the trip was through pleasant lowland forest.

Great Adventure!  Sucess!

We had a lot of fun on this trip. A boat ride, great trail walking, and awesome weather. Bushwhacking is not substantial (by Washington standards). We started at Cypress Head and met-up with our boat ride at Eagle Harbor, so we never once duplicated any section of our route. This would be a fun island to have a fairly secluded weekend camping and hiking trip.
