Dangerous crevasse high on Huascarán

There are a lot of crevasses, small and big, along the route to Campo Dos. This one is visible, but, of course, the danger is in those that are not. As long as there is a trail, chances are that you won't fall into one, although you never know. At one point, treading carefully, I managed to detect a hidden one, before falling into it. Who knows how many more dangers there are? Because of that, combined with the avalanche danger, the section between Campo Uno and Campo Dos is the most dangerous part of the climb of the two Huascarán peaks, even though the technical challenges on higher up are bigger. 7 August 2011.
