Did Chiva summit?

Couldn't fathom our pups doing Boundary - even as young'uns.

Re: Did Chiva summit?

Yes they both did summit. I also was worried about a dog summiting Boundary but you can see in the pictures that she's having fun. Check out his blog @ www.tourdedog.org

Saw them in Utah

peddling their way towards Delta Utah on highway 50. It was the dog Chiva that made me recognize them as I flew past them at 65mph.
I wish now I had had a chance to talk to David.

Amazing. That is a long stretch from Boundary Peak to where I saw them on really lonely roads.

Re: Saw them in Utah

I regret not doing that but it was at least
five minutes before I realized that that was who they were. It was the dog that was the key.
I'd hate to bike some of those roads that he does, no shoulders and very high speed traffic.

From David and Chiva:

Hey everyone, thanks for linking my site. Glad to be posted on Summit Post as well. I get a lot of my info from this site. Very cool!

Rt. 50 did have some high speed traffic, but overall I thought it was a great road for us. Cars are few and far between, the land is remote, and a good shoulder is present.

The trek is extremely challenging, but I want to emphasize safety for Chiva and me is my number one priority. It is also all about keeping Chiva happy.

Please keep up and let me know if you ever want to come hiking with us. Can't wait to explore the ID, MT, WY, and UT highpoints.

Best,
David and Chiva

Re: From David and Chiva:

Great stuff David. Your trek is pretty impressive. I was close to Boundary Peak on Sunday, a bit north as I was chasing peaks with a friend from Medford. In your pic that shows the US 6 sign in it, you were headed for the Confusion Range (Kingtop) and beyond that Notch Peak was on the left side of that highway. Isolated but full of good stuff. What's your next highpoint?

Re: From David and Chiva:

Thanks for cheering us on! We will be attempting Borah Peak on Thursday. I have some family in town and am taking a small break from the bike. After ID comes MT, WY, and UT. Can't wait to check all these places out.
