Route Climbed: Western Date Climbed: June 26, 2004
After climbing Cache Peak in the morning, Bob Bolton and I headed to Power County to check out Deep Creek Peak. Dodging thunderstorms, we waited until a clearing in the late afternoon to ascend this peak, getting back to our vehicle just at dark. The peak is a beauty, not in its difficulty but in the nice viewpoint it provides you with, a 360 degree view of Idaho.
A register was found and signed into on the summit and from some of the entries, it was obvious that this peak could be ascended from the east and southeast from neighboring ranches. One entry mentioned that he had ridden a motorcycle to the top from the south east.
