Deep into the crevasse

Adi came close to screwing up his leg when he "leaped" into the crevasse to show us how it was done. I was already down in the crevasse to take my turn to prusik up the rope to my "rescuers" when he jumped in. Adi was from Switzerland and had climbed the north face of the Eiger, which impressed me no end since I had read the book by Harrer called "The White Spider". Aug 1969
