Did De Moisy on May 6 then came back for Strawberry Peak today. They were using the snow makers on the ski run and they were loud as hell. Not too cold or windy on the ridge

Bagged these while mapping invasive weeds on Snowbasin trails. Came up to DeMoisy from the Needles Lodge then went down the road to Strawberry. Great peaks.
Climbed with the Snowbasin guide - about 12 of us. Great views from the top. I was the only one to hike all the way down (not take the gondola).

Lightning storms seemed to keep everyone else home that day. Passed the Snowbasin mountain goat herd. Was determined to make the East ridge challenging. One can piece this ridge together anywhere from a 3rd class all the way up to a mid 5th class climb on deceptively brittle rock. This would be a great alpine environment if there were no ski resort.

Beautiful Walk in the Woods
Tagged Strawberry first and then came back and got DeMoisy. Miko and Nala loved every step of the way. Brent did great. I was dragging - woke this morning with a sore throat. IVD

Mount Ogden Massif
10/23/2013 From Snow Basin, I gained the saddle between Strawberry and DeMoisy. From Strawberry Peak I followed the ridge over DeMoisy Peak, The Needles, Mount Ogden, Allen Peak, and "No Name Peak". From No Name, I followed the service roads back to the Snow Basin parking area.

Beus Canyon
Hiked to Mount Ogden via Beus Canyon with Moogie737 and Brent. Then hiked along the ridge to hit Floyd Iverson, The Needles, De Moisy Peak, and Strawberry Peak.
