| I arrived the day before in Champéry, went straight up to the Cabane de Susanfe, spent the night just a bit above the hut in my bivouac sack, then climbed the Haute Cime the next morning. Technically it's not difficult at all, but you need to be in good shape to go up that path! There's the ledge on 3056 metres marked in the map of the Swiss Federal National Topography as "Col des Paresseux". The moment I arrived on that ledge, the one bit that's flat on a relentlessly steep ascent of 800 metres, I understood why! ;-) |
