| What a great day! Deseret was surprisingly easy for an ultra-prominence peak. Also did North and South Willow Peaks. Once again, awesome place! | ||

| Ender's Shadow helped me to climb this guy. It's a very pretty mountain and I highly recommend making the trip up it. Surprising to see this in the desert. Thanks Deseret Peak! | ||

| Up South Willow Canyon, down Pocketts Fork with Stephen. Nice change of pace from the Wasatch. Saw very few people, which is always nice. | ||

| awilk7 | Wildflower paradise ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 10, 2004 | |
| I was quite impressed with the amount of water in the Stansburys (this was one of my first Great Basin mountain range hikes). The wildflowers were striking and abundant, a perfect frame for the rugged north face of the peak itself. Beautiful. | ||

| Ed F | To Ski the Twin Couloirs ![]() | |
| This is a beautiful summit in a beautiful area. It's a great example of how we can reclaim old mining areas and turn them into spectacular wilderness. I'm hoping to go back and ski here this Spring. | ||

| Bob Sihler | South Willow Creek ![]() | |
| Joined my wife in SLC for a conference and traded work for mountains for a few days. I did this one in the morning of the day I had to fly home; it was a nice way to wrap up the trip. This is a beautiful hike through a beautiful wilderness area that is a pocket of color and form amid surroundings largely lacking them. I was lucky to have the mountain all to myself. | ||

| Went up the South Willow Trail and then down the Pockets Fork trail, went up the two unnamed 10er points to the north on the way back down (PT 10685, PT 10521). Great views all around, glad to have a clear day for this one. | ||

| Rode my bike up the 2 miles of gated road at 4:30 a.m. Arrived at the summit a few hours later. Very cool place. Continued north and climbed peak 10,685 and peak 10,521. Fire and washouts pushed this climb back 3 years for me! Every time I was about to head out to the Stansburys, mother nature through something at that road. I gave up and just biked it in. | dthornton | Loop Hike ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 5, 2010 | |
| Road is still washed out 2 miles short of trailhead. South Willow was well maintained, consistent in grade and enjoyable. The upper half of the north ridge return was difficult. The trail is not easily discernable and is steep. Still some small snow banks on both trails. | ||
