Despite good conditions...
Despite good conditions elsewhere on the route, the Ingraham Glacier was already opening up (early in June). Guided groups ahead of us had already placed aluminum ladders where snow bridges had collapsed. We ended up not reaching the summit because of the time we had "wasted" behind slower groups on the glacier... Start early!

Next time use the NY cheer and tell them to get the H$ll out of the way. My last time up Rainier we got up a 10:00 pm to beat the RMI groups. Remember RMI is paid to guide and won't usually move the team off the route to let you by.
