WWW.ALPENTUNNEL.DE Near the village of Iselle, some kilometers at East of the border line between Italy and Switzerland, at the beginning of 1900, during the works for building Simplon tunnel. The valley of Diveria, from the village of Iselle(Italy) to the one of Gabi(Switzerland) is a narrow canyon. Looking above from the SS33, the highway that follow the route of the road wanted and builted by Napoleone, all you can see is a series of vertical cliffs hanging on your head. This area offers nice hiking possibilities and hard rock climbing routes on the high cliffs near the road, especially on the "Pala di Gondo", a precipice high more than 400 meters vertical or overhanging on the narrow groove of the valley.
