
| To be among the few people to summit Dixie Peak thus far this winter, which was obvious given the lack of ANY past footprints or trails to the mountain, was a great feeling for each of us. The views from each summit were spectacular, but especially from the false summit. The wind was blowing 45+ MPH, and there were some steep snowy slopes, so we did not linger long in the exposed summit areas. Highly recommended (winter) summit climb. |
