| I camped at camping Seehof by the Vassacher lake in Villach, then took the first bus up the Villacher Alpenstrasse. Then walked from the parking in 1,5 hour up to the summit via the Panoramaweg. Down via the Jagersteig. Visited the Alpengarten on the way back. Great views, sunny day, few clouds. Not to crowded in the morning, but then lots of Slovenian tourist groups. All together a nice daytrip. | |

| Nice hiking route, sometimes very crowded. 29.04.2007 - Another nice hike, already more people around now... 22.04.2007 - Nice sunday-afternoon hike. Nearly half of the snow melted away compared to my last ascent 12 days ago (due to the very warm conditions at the moment)!. Beautiful crocus fields on the lower slopes. 10.04.2007 - Great weather, strenuous ascent due to soft snow (but anyhow my fastest ascent up to now), enjoyed the summit, the sunset and the whole descent completely alone (except a beer and good music from my MP3-player... ;)). 03.01.2007 - Nice hike during a full moon night, app. -5°C, a few centimeters of fresh fallen snow from the day before, really nice. 27.12.2006 - Perfect weather and breathtaking panorama (Julian Alps, Carnic Alps, Hohe Tauern...) | |
