Don't EVER run it out on this rock. Otherwise you might as well be soloing. It is worse than sandstone.

Voted 10/10 | I understand that some of the cracks at Vantage take a little more tinkering to get just right - most cams, especially in the bigger cracks, you should extend with runners just to avoid walking into bigger slots of the cracks, ultimately losing your placement - but the rock is solid and as long as you don't place a piece in a loose block then you should be fine. Hasn't voted | no, the rock is choss. not saying you need to get out a little more, but, the rock is choss... and YES, the ground is too hard. plus, i've placed a piece or two and understand the value of runners, but losing your placement? that never happened to me when i climbed at vantage in the 90's... but get real, i think josh is choss, and that place is head and shoulders above the vantage choss...
