You can supplement the description of this photo in form like 'a slope overgrown by Pinus montana and xerothermic grasses', and if you please, add it to my album 'alpine flora'.

Most of the krummholz in the background is balsam fir (abies balsamica); most of the "grasses" in the foreground are sedges.
