Nice hike
Thanks to Caleb for his great info on how to reach the trailhead. We managed to drive our vehicles up to the mine at the end of the road at over 7200 feet. The hike from there was a matter of finding the least steep line and the views from the summit were outstanding. This was the 4th of 4 Black Rock peaks we had done. First it was Stewart Benchmark above Summit Lake, then Pahute (Big) near the Soldiers Meadow ranch, then Granite Mountain, a tick infested extravaganza and finally Donnelly. We did Fox later the same day and Pah Rum on Saturday before leaving the Gerlach area.

Quick Weekend Trip
Drove down from TriCities and camped, hiked up Donnelly then did a Fox Mountain drive up. Ran out of time to pick of Hays Canyon on the way home (still too much snow). Black Rock Desert well worth seeing this time of year, will be back to climb Granite Peak and Pahute Peak, probably next spring.
