We did the route on 8/3-5/07 and found the bush to be pretty darn terrible. Both the avalanche basin and the upper basin were free of snow and a real pain to cross - thick brush in some places and an elevated maze of tumbled logs between 2-4' off the ground. I'd strongly recommend doing it in earlier season when snow would pack all around this stuff.
