This is my friend Jeffry descending the south side of the tallest Kelso Dune, Mojave National Preserve, CA. By stepping quickly downhill we were able to create the "booming" noise. It was awesome! Kelso Dunes are one of only about 30 dunes worldwide that "boom." See Kelso Dunes Page for more info...
