Downclimbing Ice with a Stem

This is me on my way downclimbing the route. I got near the top and was just too pumped, plus the way our rope was set, I could not just let go and swing into the rock. Now that I think about it, it probably took more energy to downclimb than would have been needed to get to the top! Looked a lot further to go when I was on the ice. Hidden Falls, Jan 20th, 2007.
