it is a form of lichen Marc, what our mountain goats live on to stay high from the predators...I saw a moose calf and its mother yesterday morning on a climb, huge treat for me...THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

That scree

looks like a pretty hair raising place to be. Does your route cross it?

No, the Dragons Back is easy to cross despite what it looks like here. Some people rope up to climb to it, we always solo that section. Most don't consider the start of the climb until the base of the tower on top of the Dragon's Back. Cheers.

Great Route

I remember that view well when my friend Trevor Howe and I climbed it in the summer of 2004. I am very interested in the Rockies since I grew up in Calgary, and now live in Vancouver. Your pictures often remind me of the beautiful places in this area. Keep taking great photos.
